We spent two months exploring Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, splitting our time between two places that felt like different worlds: the vibrant, historic city of Merida and the sleepy beach town of Chuburna. Our first month was in Merida, a city buzzing with culture and history. We soaked up the local way of life, from exploring local streets and bustling markets to savouring the incredible flavours of Yucatecan food. Then, we slowed things right down with a month in the tranquil village of Chuburna. Life here was set to the sound of the waves, and we loved exploring the quiet, unspoilt local beaches and enjoying a peaceful retreat. Of course, no trip to the Yucatán is complete without diving into a few of its famous cenotes and exploring ruins - and we did plenty of that too! This video is a look back at what made those two months so special for us. It's an older one, and I'm still learning a lot about filmmaking, so I always appreciate feedback and suggestions! Whether you're planning a trip or just curious about life in this part of Mexico, I hope you enjoy watching. 🔔 Subscribe to stay updated with our latest adventures. 💬 Leave a comment or suggestions for future trips – we’d love to hear from you! 🌍 Check out more detailed videos and series at TheStay.tv for my attempt at making a travel series in Africa. --- About Us 👫: We’re an Aussie couple who left great jobs in Los Angeles in 2019 to live a nomadic life.
