After installing patch 1.23, I activated the quest and fast-travelled to the camp fire south of the Devotee outpost and flew the rest of the way. Close to the location, Aloy mentioned: "I'm near the start point from one of those flight paths. I should check it out from the sky." All I could examine with the Focus was the datapoint and the moderate supply cache, but not the black box because I have done that already earlier in this playthrough. Update: As of the release of patch 1.24, the issue has been fixed where players with an already broken save file would still not be able to go to the start of the flight path after examining the improvised transmitter, making the activity incompletable.
