People tend to skip Rotterdam because it’s too modern, and honestly, we can see why. It doesn't look like your traditional Dutch city that many tourists seek out. But after spending time here, we get why that reputation is incomplete (and unfair). In this vlog, we explore why Rotterdam is one of the Netherlands’ most overlooked major cities. From bold, modern architecture to deep history, this city surprised us. We visit the FENIX Museum of Migration, wander through historic Delfshaven, try the famous kapsalon that was invented right here, and stand at the spot where the Pilgrims left for the New World. Add in rare Dutch winter sunshine, and Rotterdam suddenly doesn't seem so terrible. We enjoyed exploring the second largest city in The Netherlands!
