NOTE: The original background audio was so poor that I replaced most of it -- except Neo-Geo CDZ system audio + Pulstar game audio -- with in-between music in post-production, from my own CD collection (should make fans of Castlevania and retro tunes happy, incl. myself!). A little messy video, as I am in the process of sorting things before moving. :P Also a bit crappy quality, due to low light (to avoid too much reflection on plasma screen). I recently received the XRGB-mini Compact Upscaler Unit from Japan. Having checked the XRGB wiki, I was a bit scared about whether my Panasonic HDTV (TX-P50VT60Y) would output a proper 720p upscaling from a 240p source. Thankfully, the scaling looks flawless (at least to me), with 960 pixels vertically, as per small border on top/below (some TVs apparently will stretch to 1080p vertically, causing reduced scaling quality and crappy looking scanlines). And the EU SCART - RGB21 Converter from Retrogamingcables.co.uk seemingly works 100%. I did not even have to change the XRGB-mini default sync setting (9). Firmware is v1.10. Sadly, 1080p looks awful with scanlines (although a decent scanline quality in 1080p should be possible with scaling set to 90 with latest FW, according to some people). So, I decided to create my very first YouTube channel ever! Just do not expect the channel to be updated much... :/
