I claim fair use and this is just for entertainment and praise. I did this as a tribute to Russell S. Doughten Jr. and to glorify God. I have been a lifelong fan of the films of Russell S. Doughen Jr. and grew up watching them. Russell S. Doughten was a Christian filmmaker who got his start in the 1958 film The Blob as a associate producer, and a uncredited director. In 1960 he made his first Christian short Teenage Diary and continued until his last film The Shepherd in 1984. He made 20 Christian feature films and 1 Christian short film. Out of all his films he is best known for making the 1972 Christian Rapture film A Thief in the Night which spawned 3 sequels. He even makes a cameo as Reverend Matthew Turner in all 4 films but is more recognizable in the 1980 film Image of the Beast as the white bearded old man with the chart. These Christian films today are known as religious films or otherwise known as "propaganda films." The films were not released theatrically but instead shown in Christian churches and broadcast on Christian television stations. These films were later released on VHS which is the way I first saw these films thanks to my dad and later released on DVD and finally online. Russell S.
