Tathra Beachside is an ocean fronting Caravan Park and very popular accommodation when visiting the region. There is so much to enjoy about staying at Tathra Beachside and it is perfect for couples and families. It is an easy stroll straight out to the beach to enjoy great fishing and swimming and have loads of beach fun with the kids. The Holiday Park has excellent accommodation for travellers including plenty of cabins for those that may not be camping. The facilities at the park include a great swimming pool and small water park with waterslide and buckets. There’s also a big children’s playground available for lots of fun and enjoyment. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and entry to the park is through a security gate. Tathra Beachside is part owned by Australian entertainer Frankie J Holden from the band Ol’ 55. Frankie often plays and signs at the park and it’s free to watch when you stay at the park. Try to plan your stay to coincide with when Frankie playing. It’s a great show and where I got my first introduction to the Baby Shark song. Thanks for that Frankie lol There’s an amazing camp kitchen which is large and has BBQ’s, fridges, appliances and TV’s. We had good Telstra coverage and Vodafone coverage was through the Optus network. Free wifi is also available, see the staff at reception for details. The park is Pet friendly and therefore dogs are allowed. There is even a coin operated dog washing machine on site. How to get to Tathra Beachside Follow the Tathra Road to town and turn left in to Andy Poole Drive. The road is downhill and takes a sharp right hand bend so take it easy through here. Tathra Oysters Visit Tathra Oysters for some of the most delicious fresh oysters you have ever eaten. These award winning oysters are grown in the fresh clean waters of the local Mimosa Rocks National Park. Tathra Hotel Enjoy a meal or drinks at the Tathra Hotel. Sitting high up on the headland with amazing views all around the Hotel is a great spot to relax and enjoy your favourite beverage. Tathra Wharf The Heritage listed Tathra Wharf was completed back in 1862 and still stands today. The Wharf now hosts a Museum and Café and there’s great fishing there too. We saw Slimy Mackerel caught and squid would be prolific too. The views around the Wharf are fantastic and there are walking trails nearby.
