Waffle Stitch - Crochet Stitch of the Week

This stitch has been on my todo list for ages. It is full of memories of sleep overs at my Grandparents house when I was a child, back in the 70's. The blanket was a yellow and lime green combination, very typical of the decade. This is a stitch with a lot of texture and warmth, although the original was a scratchy blanket with starched sheets beneath which did little to provide a comfortable nights sleep. By changing up the colours and using a more modern design you can totally avoid the tragic combinations of the 70's bringing this stitch right up to date. 🧶Written Instructions at: https://babsgetscrafty.com/posts/waff... This time around I'm using the oh so silky feeling Wander Acrylic yarn from Furls. It's a light satiny smooth yarn and really easy to work with. If you like the colour of this yarn it's Surf (green) and Midnight (blue) in worsted weight. I have a proper review for you all coming 20th Feb 2021.
