Lefteris Papadopoulos was born in Athens on November 14 1935. He started writing lyrics for music in 1963. He worked with almost all the popular musicians, composers and singers of his generation, with a vast amount of works consisting of 1,200 songs. His collaborators included Stelios Kazantzidis with the great hit “Den Tha Xanagapiso” and music by Manos Loizos, Mikis Theodorakis, Stavros Xarhakos, Stavros Kougioumtzis, Christos Nikolopoulos Mimis Plessas, Grigoris Bithikotsis, and many more.
