The Pale Hour | An Oil Painting Process "Oil painting is not about perfection, but about the imperfections moving toward perfection." In a world obsessed with digital precision, I’m using technology to keep the traditional soul of oil painting alive. When you look at a canvas up close, every brushstroke can look messy—even ugly. But as you step back, those strokes find each other, creating something beautiful. It’s a reminder that life, like art, doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. So, pour yourself a glass of wine, let the day's stress fade away, and join me at the easel. Life is too short to worry about the superficial. About the Painting: "The Pale Hour" This piece was inspired by an image I found on Pinterest—I’m not sure if this place truly exists or only lives on the internet, but I fell in love with the romance of it. It’s about that quiet, drenched hour after a rainstorm when the river and trees are still sparkling under a full moon. A Note on this Video: This is my very first video! I’ll be the first to admit I made plenty of mistakes—in the editing, the audio, and even the painting itself. Balancing a camera while trying to maintain focus on the canvas is a challenge I’m still learning to navigate. But if you enjoy this experiment, I’m hoping to share a new process video with you twice a month. Thank you for being part of this first step.
