Welcome to my very first long YouTube video! I’ll be showing how we open & prepare a 33kV cable!

This is my first-ever long-format YouTube video, so please bear with me as I get used to recording and editing my work. The original audio for this recording primarily consisted of background breathing noises, which is why I’ve added some chilled music to cover it up. Let me know in the comments what you’d like to see more of in future videos! In this video, the first stage shows me cleaning the cable using PF wipes. I then mark the cable with a Hultafors white dry marker and ruler, following the jointing instructions. Next, I strip and remove the thick plastic outer sheath using the Ripley US15. I fold back and tidy up the earth screen wires, remove the semiconductive layer with the Ripley US15, and strip the primary insulation using the ALROC BRMD10.
