Queensbury sign with DAZN & critics question Frank Warren’s business IQ about the future of boxing 🧐

Frank Warren’s Queensbury Promotions will be leaving TNT Sports & as of April 2025, DAZN will become their new, exclusive global broadcaster. Queensbury’s fights will therefore only be available on the DAZN platform. Warren had previously referred to DAZN as “dead zone“ & made a catalogue of dismissive remarks about the future of DAZN & boxing streaming, more broadly. This has prompted critics of his to question whether he is conceding to the future of the industry & his words have come back to bite him. Critics of Frank feel that signing up with the broadcaster he regularly dismissed for a number of years has cast doubt over his knowledge/‘trajectory assessment’ of the future of the industry. This has cast doubt over his stewardship going forward & whether he’s still best placed to lead the business forward, than George Warren. On the other hand, Frank has navigated the ship successfully for 40+ years & that cannot be discarded either. Particularly given that’s he’s ridden out rough patches of broader economic climates too.
