We spent a quiet winter weekend in Heinola, a small town in southern Finland. The trip was centered around my younger sister’s figure skating competition. From an early morning at the ice rink to the moments on the ice during her program, this video captures the rhythm of a real competition day — warm-ups, focus, nerves, and proud moments. After the competition, we slowed things down and explored Heinola itself. We visited the Heinola Bird Sanctuary, where many Finnish bird species can be seen up close. We ended the day by returning to Heinola’s iconic bridge, letting the calm winter scenery close the weekend.
