Here are my TOP 10 TIPS when sewing the DVF wrap dress: . 1. It's a fabric monster, choose wisely, don't go expensive on your first go. 2. Iron interfacing onto the facings, not the garment as the pattern suggests. 3. Ignore the notches on the front bodice and skirt facing and trim off the excess once attached. 4. When sewing facings, sew the interfaced side facing you. 5. Remember to overlock your side seams individually before sewing the side seams because of the belt opening. 6. Make the belt opening much smaller. 5-7cm is fine. 7. Take the sleeves in, but you'll need to take the cuff and cuff facings in too. 8. If you're a beginner skip the cuffs. 9. Do the topstitching on the bodice but you can skip a lot of the suggested blindstitching. 10. Don't do a 7cm hem as suggested. Go with 2-2.5cm . Pattern is Vogue - Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress.
