GROUND LEVEL NATURE: A squirrel's eye view of feeding. ( Part 1 )

This video was filmed on Thursday 11th December. The conditions were windy & chilly. Unfortunately, it had been raining the day before leaving the ground wet & a bit muddy. Very relevant. Even so, i decided to try out my new mini tripod. This enables me to film just a few inches off the ground. I think this gives a real insight into what the squirrel's are seeing at their eye level. With the camera at such a low height, i couldn't see what i was filming or turn the camera direction by sitting or even kneeling. I had come prepared with a large fishing unhooking mat. As i had suspected, i ended up having to lie down on my stomach to get the best results. This way i could rest my arm's on the mat & use my hands to hold the tripod down with one hand & move the camera direction with the other.
