National WSH Campaign 2024 Launch Video

This video marks the launch of the National WSH Campaign 2024, which continues its focus on “Reporting Saves Lives”. It features senior representatives from the tripartite partners, who have come together to amplify the call to strengthen the culture of WSH excellence and voice their support for reporting unsafe workplace situations. The Campaign also calls for a time of reflection, as we look upon Singapore’s significant WSH improvements over the years. On this date 20 years ago, the tragic Nicoll Highway collapse claimed the lives of four workers. A total of 83 workers lost their lives that year resulting in the workplace fatality rate of 4.9 per 100,000 workers for 2004. Since then, WSH standards in Singapore have improved significantly, with the workplace fatality rate reducing by 80% to a record low of 0.99 per 100,000 workers in 2023, putting Singapore amongst the safest countries in the world.
