Vintage Yaesu FT 480R all mode VHF transceiver for desktop or mobile

This is the Yaesu FT-480R all mode VHF transceiver. This radio was the top of the line mobile Yaesu radio during the late seventies and early eighties. I remember I was quite enamored with it in the days, but was unable to afford it as a student. It still is a very good radio to today's standards. Excellent modulation in both SSB and FM, good frequency accuracy and a nice sounding receiver that is quite sensitive. Last but not least, all metal construction and built like a battleship. It almost makes you wonder where the technology advances have been for the past 30 years!
