This tutorial covers the hard surface modeling techniques used to create a channel set diamond ring. You will learn how to block in your design concept, extrude and model a channel, create the inset holes, make fine adjustments, add bevels and refine the mesh and shading to create a nice base for applying materials. Please note that although this is one way to create this ring, it isn't the only and most likely not the "best" way to create it. You will see me make mistakes and adjust using the methods that are covered in this tutorial.
