LeftCoast Stories - Reflecting on a Decade

As our 10th birthday year comes to an end, we wanted to celebrate by reflecting on the past decade. We worked with Nathan Parker, Parker Words, to create a poem that encapsulates the very essence of LeftCoast – taking a look at where we are now, where we’ve been, and where we are heading. The poem was written through conversations with participants, volunteers, artists, collaborators, and the LeftCoast team, both past and present. We then sourced footage from deep within the LeftCoast archive and worked with Huckleberry Films to showcase everything from our spectacular shows to our smaller neighbourhood work. Thank you to everyone who has documented and captured LeftCoast throughout the years. We cannot wait to see where the next decade will take us… “And now, the future is bright, So, here’s to another 10-year tenure. Thank you to everyone who has breathed life into LeftCoast, Making it a jolly-good adventure.”
