Supercar Ability In A Family Package | Porsche Cayenne Turbo Review - Beards n Cars

Its quite surprising that I haven't already reviewed the Porsche Cayenne here in Beards 'n Cars in the past, particularly in its renowned 'Turbo' form, but the day is finally here, and though its been many years since my last time driving a Cayenne - a first generation 4.5 V8 S in particular which I actually found quite disappointing compared to the VW Touareg which I had at the time - the memories to compare this far superior 2nd generation '92A' example to are still vivid and fresh. The Cayenne is actually quite similar to the Panamera in many ways, an intelligent choice of all round practical performance car, but one which tends to be brought up in the context of 'less than pretty' cars, and for some that can be a deal breaker. Looks aside though, whether you're a fan of its design or not, this is an undeniably impressive bit of kit, with true supercar pace and deeply impressive road holding and cornering capabilities wrapped up in a larger but simultaneously lighter platform than its predecessor. And with UK used prices in the 20k region and above, there isn't too much which can rival it in the SUV or 4x4 camp for sheer all round ability... So let's head out and about around Glastonbury roads to put collect my thoughts on this superb second generation refinement of the SUV which I think may have allowed Porsche to become the powerhouse which they are today...
