Ivo Fabijan Mrvelj (1950-2006) was one of the most influential, respected and well loved Croatian and Hercegovian artists. His songs are anthems of love that Croats have for their country and speak about prosecution of ordinary people by the Communist rule simply because they loved their Homeland. This video was shot in Siroki Brijeg, HR Herceg-Bosna in 1990.on the day of declaration of independence. As the country was fighting for independence and freedom from Communist aggression & pro-dominant Serbian and paramilitary Serbian forces. Many young people in the crowd later volunteered to defend their country Herceg-Bosna and Croatia and gave their lives for freedom and independence, some of them only 16 years old. This video and its translation in English is for Educational Purposes and fan art. I'm proud and privileged to have known Ivo Fabijan personally and to be part of his family. He is a true inspiration to all of us and we are saddened that he died far too young. May God bless his soul and the souls of all Croatiana and Herceg-Bosnian war victims.
