Hey folks, in this film I'll be using an Air Still Pro loaned to me by bewathome.shop to distill a tomato paste wash and from that make whiskey, gin and white rum. I had initially set out to just make white rum, not realising that I had three different flavour syrups from Still Spirits. In the film I do two runs in the Air Still Pro, firstly a stripping run and then a spirit run. I remove the heads and the foreshots and then flavour the spirits before bottling them and adding a little vegetable glycerine to smooth out the flavour. Upon opening and tasting, I'm not overly keen on the spirits, the whisky tastes quite harsh and cheap, as does the gin, the white rum is a little better, but all of them are only drinkable to me with a mixer added. After using these flavours, I can say that I probably wouldn't use them again.
