New 3D buildings map view in Teslas (with OTA update 2025.38)

In the Tesla over-the-air update 2025.32, a new 3D buildings map view was introduced. In this video I show you how to switch it on and how it differs from the previous navigation views. To use this feature, it does require Premium Connectivity and only works on vehicles with the Ryzen chip. Tesla's description of the new update is "You can now see buildings and cityscapes in more detail with 3D view. To enable, switch to Map View and tap the 3D icon." The vehicle in this video is a 2024 Tesla Model Y RWD (MCU3/HW3) with the 62.5kWh (60,5 kWh usable) LFP battery and at the time of filming this running on software version 2025.38.3.1.
