WELCOME BACK! A Rostered V/Line Locomotive returns to Maryborough Victoria after a long time

Welcome to Schony747 trains on Wednesday. This week the presentation covers the day V/Line Passenger here in Victoria ran an officially rostered Diesel Locomotive to Maryborough in Central Victoria. Locomotive hauled passenger services through Maryborough ceased in the early 1990s with the demise of the Vinelander and Sunraysia trains to Mildura. These days the twice daily passenger service is run by the Vlocity DMU. Seeing a V/Line locomotive in Maryborough sitting at the grand looking railway station and platform these days is particularly rare. The locomotive was in town for a training run so V/Line drivers who run heritage trains for the preservation groups could be given further route based knowledge.
