I stayed at the Yarborough Hotel in November 2020 for two nights, two of us stayed in a twin room for the bargain price of £88. The hotel is excellently located next to Grimsby Town railway station, which is directly in the town centre. It is above the Yarborough Hotel Wetherspoon pub. There is a small reception desk in the pub for the hotel. Our third floor room was accessed via the a lift, which required use of the room key to operate it. On two ocasions our room keys did not work and had to be resent, but apart from that we had no other problems. The room was large with a great view towards both Grimsby Abbey and the railway station. There were two single beds, which were very comfortable, air conditioning, ample plug sockets and USB charging ports. We had tea, coffee and biscuits and these were replenished daily, by the excellent room cleaning team. Unlike other hotels that I have stayed in since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, room were cleaned daily by the cleaning staff. The bathroom was huge with a walk in shower that just had a tiny step up. I was very impressed with this hotel, it was my first Wetherspoon Hotel, and on the experience of this stay, it will not be my last.
