So the question is, why do I ride so many different mountain bike trail systems? Just this year alone, even with the Covid restrictions, I have gotten to ride at least 14 different trail systems and that doesn't count the Fat tire riding in the winter months with snow. I really like the variety of trails within 3 hours driving. Every trail system has it's own personality and feel. Seeing different features helps me see my home features in a different way. This allows me to try new things without feeling like I am going to kill myself. The BEST part though, is that I have met sooooo many cool people that all have the same passion. Away from mtb, we may have never crossed paths or even liked each other, but when you share the same passion for something, people just open up and have a natural respect for one another. This ride had some Palos locals showing me around. I met up with Frank from the channel Adrenaline is life, Jok from the channel Weak Soup, Tony and his son Nick who is only 10 going on 28, and another new person for me to meet was Andy. They showed me a great time and we hit some cool trails. In a 3 week period, I got to hit 7 or 8 different trail systems. Check out a tiny sample of several in this video. Keep rolling, stay safe and have fun! Hope to see you out there on the trails. Location: Loves Park, IL.
