Sorry this is so choppy, everyone! I had the hardest time truncating it so it would be short enough (and I still couldn't get it to 3 minutes!). I hope this will be okay! The Invisible Disabilities Association (IDA) advocates for individuals with invisible diseases (I know, obvious from the title!). Go to www.invisibledisabilities.org to learn more! :) FOR IDA: My name is Leeza Some of my diagnoses are: Chronic EBV, Dysautonomia, Orthostatic Intolerance, Hypotension, CFIDS, Cardiac Arrhythmias (treated with pacemaker & medications); Chronic Pain, Chronic Nausea, Malabsorption, Heart Failure, Hypothyroidism, Osteoporosis, Depression. I have absolutely faced adversity since getting sick. For years, my own family regarded me with suspicion and disbelief. I will never forget the night before my diagnostic thoracoscopy when my father asked my cardiologist, "Is there any way she could have done this to herself?" No words can ever describe the magnitude and depth of the wound those words imparted to my spirit. We are now estranged. Anyway, just sharing some more details.
