RotorSwing Marine is performing many tests and measurements to objectively be able to improve on it's own roll damping system. The video shows both functions of this yacht stabilizer; roll damping while cruising (underway) and roll damping while idling or at anchor (zerospeed). We also tested the natural "roll out" time of this 15 meter steel yacht. This was done while inverting the gyro signal to make the displacement vessel roll. For safety, RotorSwing has this so called Forced Roll function hidden underneath one of the menus. While it takes more energy to bring this type of heavy steel vessel to roll with forced roll, this video clearly shows how quickly the yacht stabilizer reacts! Don't believe it?
