Another dark Sunday for Ferrari. Not only because of the weather in Shanghai, which was cloudy throughout the race, but also due to the on-track performances of the two SF-25 cars of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who finished in fifth and sixth positions at the end of the Chinese Grand Prix. They ended up where they started, albeit with the two drivers swapped due to a significantly better pace from the Monegasque in the first part of the race. But it does not end there. To make matters even worse, less than one hour after the race, there was the official confirmation that both Italian cars were disqualified. The Ferrari cars of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were disqualified from the Chinese Grand Prix for technical violations. On car number 44, excessive skid wear was detected. The measurements of the car's axes showed values of 8.6 millimeters (left), 8.6 millimeters (center), and 8.5 millimeters (right), all lower than the 9 millimeters required by Article 3.5.9 of the Technical Regulations. As for Charles Leclerc's SF-25, the issue concerned the car's weight, which was found to be underweight. The car was weighed by the FIA Technical Delegate both with and without fuel, obtaining the same result of 799 kilograms after the fuel was emptied and the damaged front wing was replaced. The scale calibration was verified and confirmed, with the competitor present during the measurement.
