We are checking out the JOYO Tonechain TC-1 and TC-2 today. Both of these multi effects pedal should have everything that you need to start your guitar tone. You have a digital delay with a tap feature to adjust the timing. A Distortion section which will act as your preamp, and an overdrive section to boost the distortion. The Tonechain doesn't just stop there. There is a built in Cab sim that you can use with the balanced XLR outs for silent recording which I love the idea of silent recording. and if you don't like the Cab sim turn it off to use your own 3rd part IRs.
