Imagine a world where your greatest fears become reality this is Fear Factor one of the most controversial Game Shows of all time it has been a massive hit in the USA for NBC hosted by Joe Rogan it was NBC’s answer to Survivor and was a instant hit debuting in 2001 getting great ratings for NBC Channel Nine picked up the format in late 2001 for an Australian version of Fear Factor hosted by Marc Yellin each week 6 contestants 3 men and 3 woman battle it out in a series of stunts there are 4 stunts instead of 3 stunts that are designed to challenge the contestants both physically and mentally if they are to afraid to complete are stunt there eliminated if they post the worst result for a stunt there eliminated and there can only be 1 winner this is a Tournament format the winner of Fear Factor receives a home entertainment package at the end of the season all the winners come back for the Grand Finale in which the Champion will win $50,000 Fear Factor Australia didn’t last long it lasted just 3 episodes before being cancelled due to low ratings it was planned to air the unaired episodes in the summer of 2002/03 but due to the Cricket it didn’t air and Channel Nine did continue to air the NBC Fear Factor from 2002 to 2005 it was filmed in Melbourne from locations like Waverley Park, Calder Park Thunderdome, Docklands and Geelong this is Fear Factor enjoy the video.
