In this episode of Peabody's Improbable History, Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet is opening tomorrow night and he isn't fully prepared for the play, now Peabody and Sherman have to help him finalize the play. Peabody's Improbable History was a recurring segment in the 1960s animated TV series The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. It followed the brilliant, bespectacled dog Mr. Peabody and his adopted human boy, Sherman, as they traveled through time using the WABAC Machine. Each short episode dropped them into a significant historical moment, where they’d often find famous figures like Leonardo da Vinci or Napoleon in absurd or silly predicaments. Mr. Peabody would always use his intellect (and plenty of puns) to help fix history and make sure events unfolded the way they were supposed to. The segment mixed humor, light education, and wordplay, all delivered in a deadpan style, making history fun and a little ridiculous.
