Armored Core VI ─ My First AC Experience ─ Part 3

Like talking games and their lore? Then join the Discord!   / discord   Armored Core 6 has always looked like an interesting game to me, but it also seems pretty complicated, and as though it would have a pretty steep learning curve which kept me away from it. In other words, I'd try it if given the chance, but I don't think I'd go out of my to play it since I have no idea whether I'd end up liking it or hating it. Thanks to some donations from madlads in the stream, I've been double-dog dared to play AC6 on stream and fight "Baltoy-Balthazar" Balthaeus on the 1.00 version of the game and to patch the game after that. ** Baltaeus has been defeated, now we'll be updating to the current patch. ** So with all that being said, although I'm a pretty big FromSoft fan, I know virtually nothing about AC aside from the few callbacks to it from other games like Mr. "No Count" Patches. This is more or less an unfiltered first run of the game, and if you guys want to get a new player's true first impressions of the game, I'd ask you refrain from spoilers and backseating. A good general rule of thumb is to assume questions are rhetorical unless indicated otherwise, and if I ask for help, I'll say that I'm asking a non-rhetorical question. A big part of me is reluctant to stream a game like AC6 for a first playthrough because I tend to be really stubborn and will do excessively bone-headed things to see if they work, or merely for the sake of overcoming a rather arbitrary challenge, which means spending an inordinate amount of time on things which may or may not end up being trivial. Beyond that, I'm the type of person who spends a lot of time micromanaging my inventory, so having a garage and highly customizable mecha is likely to make me spend more time managing my items than playing the game. A few have assured me that AC6 isn't that complicated though, so we'll have to see how it goes.
