Deputies, good Samaritans rescue victim from burning vehicle in Texas. The creator of the video posted this on social media. "On Wednesday August 20, 2025, deputies with the Houston County Sheriff's Office responded to a major vehicle wreck on SH 21 West outside of Crockett, Tx. There were two vehicles involved and major injuries reported on one occupant along with him being pinned inside the burning vehicle. Our deputies arrived on scene and immediately began rendering aid, containing the fire and trying to remove the pinned victim. With the help of by-standers and other agencies our deputies were able to get the victim removed from the burning vehicle and begin giving first aid to both victims of the wreck. When I took office I stressed the need to equip our deputies with the right equipment needed to do any job that they may come across during their routine patrols and having fire extinguishers in each patrol vehicle was at the top of the list. Our deputies went through three fire extinguishers during the short time it took to remove the victim, and undoubtedly, without those fire extinguishers the victim would have been severely burned or worse, burned alive."
