Konge presents a powerful narrative about resilience in relationships, the consequences of deception, and the struggles of single parents finding love again. Two friends Tiwalola (Wumi Toriola) and Oluwadunsin (Mosun Filani) were shopping at a supermarket and Adeyinka saw them and introduced himself. Tiwa told him immediately that she’s a single mother of one, a daughter named Shinaayomi (Michelle Onamade ) and her sister kept trying to set the record straight. Adeyinka insisted that despite the fact that she’s a single mother it’s still her that he likes. Afolayan brought home a single mother to his mum (Joke Muyiwa). Her name is Adebimpe that she accepted wholeheartedly. But her baby daddy was released from prison,he heard she’s dating someone else. Met them and stabbed him to death. Tiwa started dating Gboyéga (Damilare Kolawole) who found out that she has a child through her phone conversation She assisted a man stranded on the road named Afolayan (Tunde Aderinoye) and they started talking. But Dunsin can see all over Tiwa that she’s in love. So the 3 of them met at the supermarket and Tiwa had the opportunity of introducing Dunsin to Afolayan. Dunsin now advised Tiwa not to tell Afolayan that she’s not a single mother so that he doesn’t dump her like the previous guy. Tiwa was hesitant but she agreed. They started dating and he invited her to his home, Yoloye the gateman (Tobi Oladele) is ever funny. This is how Tiwa found out that Afolayan is also a single father to Murewa (Daniel Adeshina) Tiwa was shocked but hid it well. His wife died of kidney disease. Afolayan took Tiwa home to meet his mum; she asked him if Tiwa had children and he emphatically said no. Shinaayomi who heard her mom’s conversation with her friend asked why her mom lied that she doesn’t have any children. Eventually Afolayan found out about Shinaayomi before Tiwa told him and he was very upset about the deception. Afolayan told his mom that Tiwa is a single mother and she was furious and wanted an end to their relationship. It’s obvious that Afolayan truly loves Tiwa and he pleads with his mother to allow them continue their journey. They got married and lived together with their 2 children. Unfortunately, Murewa was killed in an accident which almost tore the family apart. To make matters worse, Afolayan discovered that he has prostrate cancer. Of course Afolayan’s mum blames Tiwa for everything that’s happening. But out of nowhere, Shinaayomi’s biological dad Bankole Duroshakin (Lanre Adediwura) shows up after being an absent dad for so long. This bothers Afolayan a lot cos he has lost his own biological son and the child that he hoped is now his, isn’t. Bankole met with Afolayan and told him in plain language that he wants from him …to start taking care of his daughter. Bankole sued Tiwa to court and even met her to give her 10 million naira as compensation which Tiwa declined.
