#backtothefuture #delorean #scalemodels Hello and welcome to BOAB Models. Today we'll be continuing the DeLorean DMC-12 Time Machine from Back to the Future part II in 1/24 by Aoshima. This part focuses on the mechanism for the hover mode flip up wheels. We will also be preparing to add the lighting kit sold by Captain Jack's models. In the Back to the Future franchise, starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, the DeLorean time machine is a time travel device made by retrofitting a DMC DeLorean vehicle with a flux capacitor. The car requires 1.21 gigawatts of power and needs to travel 88 miles per hour (142 km/h) to initiate time travel. John DeLorean founded the DeLorean Motor Company in 1975. He was already well known in the car industry as a capable engineer, business innovator, and youngest person to become a General Motors executive. The DeLorean DMC-12 was Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and noted for its gull-wing doors and brushed stainless-steel outer body panels, the sports car was also noted for a lack of power and performance incongruous with its looks and price. The car had a delayed release being pushed back to 1981 and only 9,000 cars rolled off the assembly line in Dunmurray, Northern Ireland before DMC filed for bankruptcy in December 1982.
