Tipon 1.The archeological park of Tipon is part of the Qhapac Ñam. This tourist attraction is composed of 12 terraces which were built on Inca style. 2.According to the chronicler Garcilaso de la Vega, Tipon was built by Huiracocha. He ordered this palace to be constructed for his father Yahuar Huaca at a short distance away from the capital Cusco. There are beautiful royal rooms and great water fountains where the irrigation system is still fully functional with water flowing all year round. 3.These masterfully designed Inca constructions survive to the present day. 4.Some people suggest that Tipon was a place of worship with a ritual garden and the terraces constructed in a way that actually channels not only water, but also spirit and energy, from the surrounding mountains and springs into the crops that were likely grown on the terraces. 5.Others suggest that Tipon was an agricultural lab (similar to Moray) since the many terraces of Tipon contain different micro-climates that would have been useful for testing various crops. 6. The water sound and the feeling of being close to the Inca’s gods creates a unique spiritual aura that will captivate you at first sight. 7.It is located 23 km southeast of the Inca capital at a height of 3,560 meters above sea level in the district of Oropesa, province of Quispicanchis in Cusco. 8. Tipon is one of the 16 more important archeological sites that no one should miss. 9. A very impressive Inca construction to visit. #cusco #inkayniperutours #tipon #peru
