Can I throw away my old tape deck now? Wave Alchemy Tapewave is here

With this new release from Wave Alchemy called "Tapewave" I was wondering if this plugin could make me put aside my old tape deck for good. Check out the plugin here: https://www.wavealchemy.co.uk/product... Up until now, I've used my real tape deck to get that "old tape + tape artifacts + tape distortion" sound on my tracks. This IS a somewhat cumbersome process and I've always been looking for a "good enough" solution I could use in the DAW. Up until now I haven't found something I felt was worth paying for. With this plugin I can definitely  let me old cassette deck rest a lot more from now on. Not ALL the time, but SOME of the time. I've always enjoyed listening to music coming out of tape, especially cassettes. Mixtapes, original releases and my latest album was released exclusively on tape as the only physical medium. There is something about all the artifacts, like wow and flutter, worn tapes, worn tape heads and the sound of tape saturation/distortion from recording too hot. Together it brings back memories of the golden age. The 80s. We didn't like all those artifacts then, but it shaped something inside our consciousness and THAT sound defined an era.
