Investigating serious and complex crimes in Somalia

UNODC supported the Somali Police Force in responding to serious and complex crimes. From June 2019 to November 2022, and thanks to the generous financial support of the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), UNODC implemented the Criminal Investigation Program (CIP) for Somalia to support the Federal Government and Federal Member States of Somalia in enhancing the operational criminal investigation capacity of the Somali Police Force in facing serious and complex crimes such as SGBV, homicide, and human trafficking.
