Charan Singh Safri Visions of Panjab came into existence in 1981 our first show went on the air on a Vaisakhi day. Earlier in March, Safri sahib was visiting Toronto and we recorded a special show on him on 28th March 1981. Here we present his interview with our host Iqbal Mahal in which he explains his writings. He also discuss status of Punjabi language in Punjab. He thinks Doaba region Punjabi is very sweet. He was known for his strong, accurate, well-placed oration of emotions while presenting his poetry. He also did rendition of 3 of his poems in this interview. He has written religious poetry on Sikhism and he used to perform in Gurudwaras or religious functions. He has 5 volumes of poetry on religious subjects like Khalsio Tankhah Mangde o, Mata Gujri da laal, Sikhi diyaan Vaatan, Amrit Bhije bol and Guru Ravi Das Mehma. He has 2 books on Cultural Side Amber de Taare and Takle de Val kadh lai. His compositions have been sung by many singers in Punjab, we hope viewers will like this segment.
