The main roles are played by actors Florin Piersic, Marga Barbu, Szabolcs Cseh, Alexandru Repan, Ion Besoiu, George Motoi and Ovidiu Iuliu Moldovan. The action of the film takes place in Muntenia, in the period before the Revolution of 1848. The kidnapping of a Viennese banker and his daughter threatens to trigger a diplomatic scandal, which could result in the entry of Austrian armies into the country.
