This is a travel vlog for our short getaway to Las Vegas and Death Valley in February 2025. I always wanted to do stargazing in Death Valley, and I'm so thankful and excited that my wish came true!! 😊 In this video, we will share briefly our short stay in Vegas, and the rest of the video will be about our day trip experience in Death Valley. Las Vegas: ✏️ If you plan on visiting the Sphere, make sure to check the schedule ahead because the immersive show will not open to the public when there are concerts or events take place. ✏️ Tickets are EXPENSIVE on the sphere official site. We bought ours from Ticketmaster for ~40% less! ✏️ I personally was not super impressed with the interactive exhibits, and because I had watched IMAX Dome theater movies before, I think that this is just a bigger version of that. Because the seats are also further away from the screen, it is not as immersive as I was expected. That's just my opinion. 📍Sushi Neko - All you can eat sushi with a wide selection and high quality food! Death Valley: ✏️ There is no internet inside Death Valley. If your car has GPS, it should not be a problem. The GPS map will still work. ✏️ There are only a few gas stations inside Death Valley and the prices are expensive. Pahrump is the town before entering Death Valley from Nevada. It's good idea to grab food and fill up gas there first. ✏️ Be sure to pack enough water and snacks/foods ✏️ Day time temperature hit 80F when we were there in mid-Feb but drops quickly at night. Wear layers. ✏️The visitor center only has a small fridge of some water, sodas, and cold sandwiches (they were pretty much gone when we got there around 3-4pm). No variety or healthy options. No coffee or warm food. No ice cream :( 📍 Zabriskie Point - https://maps.app.goo.gl/eq4dD5Dn85UvF... 📍 Badwater Basin - https://maps.app.goo.gl/xgLvcbiozf6TK... 📍 Artists Palette - https://maps.app.goo.gl/pjA7ecDBMWraS... 📍 Furnace Creek Visitor Center - https://maps.app.goo.gl/u7B4AgY9JKVPx... 📍 We stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Pahrump - https://maps.app.goo.gl/fm7PUWckkxDAZ... ✨Stargazing ✨ ✏️ Search for new moon date of the month and try to go as close to the new moon day as possible. That's when the sky will be the darkest without full moon. ✏️ Try to find a place far away from light pollution. It should be pretty easy to find in Death Valley! ✏️ Best time window is about 1-3 hours after sunset. ✏️ Try to stay away from busy roads because the car headlights could be distracting ✏️ It will take some time for the eyes to adjust to the darkness. Wear a headlight with red light or a red light flashlight if you want to see in the dark because your eyes can adjust more easily to the dark with red lights. ✏️ If you plan on taking photos, bring a tripod!! Our photos didn't turn out well because we didn't have a tripod and just put our phone on the car.
