One in three women (35 percent) will experience some form of violence during their lifetime - more than one billion women worldwide? Violence against women and girls takes many different forms, including domestic violence, sexual assault and harassment, child, early and forced marriage, sex trafficking and so on. It is one of the most widespread violations of human rights and has long-term devastating effects on the lives of women, their communities and wider society. We want violence against women to end. Hence, the Centre for Social Research conducted a webinar to comprehend the issue of violence against women and girls on. The expert panel includes:- 1. Ms. Karuna Nundy - @karunanundy She's an Indian lawyer at the Supreme Court of India and the focus of her work is on constitutional law, commercial litigation and arbitration, media law and legal policy. 2. Dr. Anjali Mehta - @Anjmeh She's an eye surgeon and a social activist, who is passionate about the issues of women's health and rights. 3. Ms. Priyanka Kandpal - @pri_kandpal She's a journalist by profession. Currently she's the Senior Correspondent at News18 India.
