Lower Eyelid Surgery: Suzanne's Recovery & Results

Because the eyes are often the first thing we notice in others and ourselves, for many with lower eye bags, it can feel like a significant point of focus. After performing an Extended Lower Eyelid Skin Pinch on my patient Suzanne, I am so pleased with the improvement in her confidence and appearance. Using TempSure Surgical to make the incision, we can minimize bleeding and expedite the healing process. The incision is artistically placed in the natural eye crease where it will be hidden and once healed, imperceptible. This technique suspends the mid-face providing support and ensuring the lower eyelid is not pulled down or changes the natural shape of the eye. I was able to tighten and bring the surrounding skin up to improve her festoons. Festoons, also referred to as malar mounds or cheek bags, are folds of loose skin, muscle, fat, and/or fluid that appears along the lower eyelid and cheek. Though a Lower Eyelid Skin Pinch addresses a comparatively small section of the face, this often provides a dramatic improvement in a patient's overall appearance.
