Ne Win's son-in-law and three grandsons have been moved to Insein prison in the capital, Yangon, from the military compound where they had been held since their arrest in March, a senior intelligence official told The Associated Press. Aye Zaw Win, the husband of Ne Win's daughter Sandar Win, and their three sons, were arrested in a Yangon restaurant on charges of plotting to overthrow Myanmar's military junta. Officials have said the four will be tried for high treason, which carries a maximum penalty of death. The government has accused them of trying to recruit military units to kidnap the junta leaders and force them to swear allegiance to Ne Win. 91-year-old Ne Win and Sandar Win have been put under de facto house arrest at their residential compound in Yangon. Ne Win came to power in a 1962 coup d'etat and stepped down in 1988 in the face of pro-democracy demonstrations quashed by the military.
