A witty, sly little story that wrings giggles from the belly of the reader, The Gruffalo is both stylish and hilarious, simple in its execution, as it plays skilfully on a child's fears and then shows that even the most threatening of monsters are not always as scary as they seem. Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler are the creators of many beloved picture books including The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo's Child, The Snail and the Whale, and The Spiffiest Giant in Town. Following on from last year’s successful performance of The Reluctant Dragon, our Women Unscene Community Theatre Project is back with another treat. Performed by members of our Women Unscene group using puppets and oral storytelling, this is another lovely performance performed for Free to the local community. The Women Unscene Community Theatre Project aims to bring local women from different ethnic and social groups and different ages to collaborate and learn and share performance techniques.
