What makes it stand out from the crowd of strat clones is its fantastic playability, slim neck and great build quality with a low action. No wonder its one of the best selling guitars in the world. The Squier Affinity Strat is a fraction thinner on the Affinity than on the standard models making it ideal for the novice, youngster and adult too. The bolt-on neck is Maple with a Rosewood fret-board. The Affinity also adorns the cool 1960/70s style larger Fender headstock that is rarely used these days, whilst the frets themselves are of medium gauge. There are the usual 3 single coil strat pick-ups along with a 5 way selector switch with a volume and two tone pots just like its big brothers. The bridge has a standard traditional style tremolo system, and each string has its own bridge saddle with two allen screws per saddle for any height adjustment, at the opposite end of the guitar the machine heads are sealed chrome plated units.
