This is a Sinclair Broadcast Group station. On December 3, 2020, WCIV debuted the current generation Sinclair look and switched to the same cut of music from the Warner Chappell package most of the other stations with these graphics are using. I posted the 7pm open already on launch day and I was planning to get the other opens at first opportunity, since this is another station that loves cold opening their shows. However, I was surprised to find out that coinciding with the new year, WCIV has had a voiceover changeout. John Willyard has been dropped in favor of Lynn Hoffman, reportedly a favorite of the Sinclair corporate promotions team. Willyard's voice is not completely gone from the station yet, as they are very slowly re-recording everything with Hoffman. Personally I don't care for either of them as a news voiceover. Willyard fits country stations the best and Hoffman sounds best on Adult Contemporary radio stations or maybe a lifestyle show. Just my opinion. Since I had the morning and 11pm opens with Willyard recorded already and nobody else has uploaded, I figured I'd take the plunge. Since I didn't want to do two separate videos for the two different voiceovers, I'm combining them into one starting with the two Willyard opens I have, then a complete complement of current opens, starting use in January 2021 with Hoffman's voiceover. I also want to note that WCIV is another station that uses those corny Stephen Arnold image campaigns - in this case "Waking Up My Day". WCIV uses this for promos for the morning news (of course), for the close and bumpers for the morning news, as well as the open for their GMA local updates. However it is not used in the opens to the morning news itself. That's included here for posterity.
