I recently completed The Fan Dance on Sun 6th Aug 2023. I am raising money for one of our preferred charities – Third Hope. My goal is to get to £3,000. The Fan Dance is a gruelling 24km SAS Selection test march staged over Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons. You must carry at least 35lbs plus food and water. The infamous march is the world’s oldest Special Forces test and is used as the first major indicator of whether a candidate has the physical and mental aptitude to complete the legendary Selection course. I managed to finish the 24km race in 4 hours and 21 mins.  I burned 2,651 calories, consumed over 4 litres of water, and climbed over 1,076 metres carrying 43lbs in my bergen.
