“My Super Math Star – Subani’s Big Math Adventure!” My daughter Subani, who is only 7 years old, in 1st Grade at Lincoln Elementary School. And she just did something SUPER BIG! She finished all 350 math lessons of 350 lessons on i-Ready Maths! From Level A (like 1st Grade) to Level H (like 8th Grade)– from baby numbers to BIG brain math! She started on September 4th, 2024, and today is April 21st, 2025. And guess what? SHE DID IT! She completed the last one – Lesson 350 of 350! YESSSSSSSSSSS!!! Let Me Tell You How It All Happened… When Subani started, she was just learning how to count. Like 1… 2… 3… 4… so on! She would sit on the couch, legs swinging, and say, “Daddy, what’s 5 + 3?” And I would smile and say, “Let’s use fingers!” We counted with real moneys including paper bills and coins, fingers, apples, oranges, pencils—even candies! Then she moved to adding and subtracting. And I showed her my super cool trick: “Put the bigger number in your head, and count up!” She loved it! “10 - 4? That’s 6! Easy-peasy lemon-squeezy!” she would say. Math Got Bigger, and So Did Subani’s Brain! After that, we started multiplication. I told her, “It’s just fast adding!” So we clapped and skipped and jumped to learn it! 3 x 4? Let’s do 4, 8, 12! Boom – that’s 12!” She laughed and said, “Daddy, this is like magic!” Then came division, and I said, “Let’s play the sharing game!” We used cookies again! 12 cookies for 3 friends? 4 each!” And she shouted, “Math is DELICIOUS!” I showed her how to do fractions—those are like pizza slices! We said, “1 out of 2 means half the pizza!” Yummy math! Then we did decimals—tiny numbers with a dot in them! Like money! “Daddy, 0.5 is like 50 cents!” she said. So smart! I also showed about graphs—those are like pictures made with numbers! I told her, “Look! This bar is taller. That means more apples!” She laughed and said, “Graphs are like number cartoons!” Then we did area and perimeter—I said, “Area is how much space something takes up.” And “Perimeter is the line around it!” We had so much fun! And YES—we even did algebra! That’s like being a number detective! When there’s a missing number, we figure it out like a mystery. We said, “If 3 + ? = 7, then the answer is 4!” Boom! She solved it. I Taught Her All My Best Tricks! I showed her: How to break big numbers into small ones, How to draw pictures for math, How to turn hard questions into easy ones, How to skip count, How to use number lines and blocks, Even how to remember math formulas! We used real money, paper, crayons, stickers, toys, fruits, blocks and many things found around! Everything became MATH MAGIC! She Kept Going, and Going, and Going… From Level A to B to C to D to E to F to G and to Final Level H! Like going from 1st grade math to 8th grade math on iready online. Wow and wow and WOW! Even when she was tired… Even when she didn’t feel like it… She still said, “Let me try, Daddy! I want to learn more!” And most of the time—guess what? She got 100%! Sometimes a little less, like 80%, but that’s still amazing! She never gave up. She never quit. She believed in herself. And I always believed in her too. Subani – The Math Hero! Let me tell you, When she finished Lesson 350 today, We shouted, “Hoorayyyyyy!” We gave high fives and big hugs. She is just 7 years old. She is in 1st grade. And she finished 8th grade level math! On online Iready. That is something only a math hero can do! I am the proudest dad in the whole wide world. Today my nose is risen really big with huge proudest nose ever. This is my shout out: “That’s my daughter! That’s my math champion! That’s my Subani!” “CONGRATULATIONS, MY PRINCESS SUBANI! You did it! I’m SO proud of you! I will never forget this day: The April 21st 2025! Dad love you to the moon and back. You are smart. You are strong. You are silly. You are special. And you are the best math girl in the galaxy!
