Coin Guides and Error Coins - What gets a book into the top twenty?

I do not care about the negative thumbs down unless you leave a note and explain why. I know some people think attacking others work is not appropriate, but I think it is worse to lie and create fake sources. Updated: 2.27.2025 There are two people that I have discovered writing multiple books using different names, different bios, and different author photos. The most dishonest person on Amazon is using several aliases: Lucas Ford, Lincoln Mollett, Error Collector, Gary N Parker, and the latest name, Nick Ford. It was discovered that this person is using 30 of the exact same error photos in all of these books. This book was not written by an American since words like "flan" are used, which is a European term for planchet. Another scammer, Thomas Reed, who has the number one book, is also Theodore Steele—two different bios, fake author photos, and fake editorials. This person is also using terms that are not American but British. Update: 12.21. 2024 Update: the latest book ranking number one is another disingenuous book written by Thomas Reed—ISBN 9798342034067. For example, his rare coin listing includes a 1979 Susan B. wide rim, a 1999 Susan B. with a cracked rim, and more. Update— 12.18 Thank you for the support. Our hobby should never be compromised by hackers. There are plenty of websites with credible information. The Roland Hyde book has over 40 helpful clicks on Amazon, indicating the Fred Wright comments are helpful. For one year I have been tracking every book that reaches the top twenty in a specific Amazon category where most coin books are hosted. The other criteria is to follow all books with an Amazon Best Seller rank under 100,000 on a daily basis and all others over 100,000 once per month. I have not been able to determine why some books make it to the top twenty while others reside at the bottom. I have purchased every book that makes it into the top twenty, and other than 6 authors, five of whom I list for you, the authors are a travesty to coin collecting. All the books not written by credible authors are filled with inaccuracies, misleading statements, fake bios, fake editorials, and rigged 5-star ratings, and they belong in the fireplace. I do not care about the negative thumbs down unless you leave a note and explain why. I know some people think attacking others work is not appropriate, but I think it is worse to lie and create fake sources. If you can find another coin guide on Amazon I have not mentioned as credible, I will pay for it.
